Next Monday we're going to start writing your resumes over. So we're collecting a lot of data. We're talking about it. We're thinking about ourselves. And resumes, cover letters, and come on. Don't be the person in the back of the class. Cover letter, resume. Again, we're going to be personalizing this towards an actual company you're going to be planning for this midterm interview. Okay? Midterm interviews are going to be approximately

02:03:17

Week 10, I think there's a holiday on Monday in two weeks. Two or three weeks, there is a holiday on a Monday. So good news or bad news, okay? We're going to be doing that choppy interview on approximately week 10. You are applying to the show, okay? So today we're going to be doing lots of discussion in groups. So again, I'm going to give you a number. You're going to be putting together groups of three people. You're going to be sharing all your content for the first part. Then I'm going to mix you up again. The reason this class works is because you're open, okay? To talk, be honest with other individuals. But on the other hand, the big thing with this course, think about this as an opportunity to start to differentiate yourself in your classmates. Good communicators get the job.

02:03:40

The first couple weeks, the idea with this is persuading someone on a gay term that you can do the job. I look at your resume and I go,"Huh? I want to talk to this person." Everyone who gets to a job interview can do the job on paper. Think of it that way. If you get a job interview, you can do the job on paper. But now we know the job market, we only need to hire one or two people instead of five or two.

02:04:36

The purpose of this course is for you to be that one or two people. That comes down to communication. This class is delivered in English, but most of the skills you can use transfer to Korean. I do Korean interviews, I do also English interviews. Class delivery, everything is English focused, global. Some days there's a little nuance for the Korean job work. There's some differences. We'll go through those, but again this is an opportunity for you to look introspectively inside your heart, inside your mind. Understand what you're going at, and more importantly what you need to improve for your graduate. I'm going to give you a number. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. We'll just have you groups of three. Group one, group two, group three, group four. Are you ready to help take groups of three people?

02:04:57

Stand, move. Yeah, so we have three people there. You can move your desks around. Could you close the-- We have a big classroom or a small room. Group one, group two, group three, group four. Three people, you can turn your desks.

02:05:36

Don't be shy. Okay. Turn your desk. One. Group two. Okay. Two is over here. Group three. Number three is. Number four is. There should only be four groups. There's no five. Number one. Number two. Number three. Number four. Okay.

02:05:44

- Every group should be up for you.

02:06:11

- Yup, today is okay. Okay, I'm gonna enjoy this room over here. Okay, three, three, three. Okay, first and foremost, you choose to do

02:06:48

okay for you to overcome that shyness okay if you're gonna go to a job and you can say you're shy you know I can get it okay I am shy okay if you know old Matt okay even present-day sometimes I get shy okay I don't let it stop me being in front of the classroom okay I am introverted extrovert extroverted introvert okay I'm a balance of both of those okay but what you will see will be more extroverted

02:07:24

Okay, so again, introduce yourself, encourage each other, ask questions. Empathy goes a long way because over the next 16 weeks, you're going to be giving lots of feedback. Sorry, yeah, 14 weeks. You're going to be giving lots of feedback from each other, okay? Helping each other to, again, self-improvement. We're going to learn from each other. Oh, you do that well. I should try that. At the same point, try to identify issues, what we could do better, okay? Okay, beginning. Okay, self-introduction. Who are you? Okay, where you're from, what's your major grade? Two interesting things about you.

02:07:44

Very simple, two interesting things about you. I'll go first. I'll interrupt you. First, a little skill type here. When you start talking to someone like this, or even doing a presentation, what's the first thing you should say? Good. Always try to say good morning.

02:08:06

You'll go, hi, hello, because some people start talking like hi. Presentation, same thing, hi. Good morning, good afternoon. It's fantastic for business, right? It's very warm to you. Good morning. OK? Me when I was younger, I go, yo, what's up? You know, again, I'm sorry. Dates me. OK, 20 years from now, hey, what's up? Yeah, OK?

02:08:27

Think about the way you do a good morning is always nice or becomes a good habit. Good morning. Already identifying that type of set. Keep going. Let me be quiet. Okay, so I will first like my seat is on like chair. Good morning. My name is Yejun Kim.

02:09:01

My English name is Joshua, so you could call me just Josh. Okay, so I'm in urban engineering and planning department. So it is kind of engineering but almost like architect. So I always make some programs using programs like illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, Sketchup to make some like...

02:09:25

Blueprint? Yeah. Thank you. And I have lots of hobbies, like playing drums or exercising. So I'm kind of extrovert in my hobbies, but kind of introvert when I'm just making my... Yeah, right.

02:10:10

My interesting thing is I think I'm like slow and steady person because when I'm in my department job... So talk about your MBTI as a personality tester. Yeah. Just talk about two interesting things about you. Yeah, as I talk, I'm slow and steady. I'm MBTI as ISTJ. Very introvert person. Yeah. So I always have to make some... using programs to make some working. So it is very... It's my strength in my department, sort of. And...

02:10:41

Another interesting thing is I like something new I've never had before. That kind of drum and exercising also I've never had before. So I... yeah, right. Like these, talking like for English is also kind of new for me. So yeah, this is quite challenging to me right now.

02:11:27

Thank you. So that's the two point of my song. You have an interesting name. Phobia, spheres, what have you done? What do people not know about you? So I'll go next door. My name is Simon Park and my name is also Josh Park. Oh really? Yeah. I'm majoring in international style. So it's right next to the Panaman Station. Right about that. And I'm currently on my last semester here. This is my last year in Panaman. Last semester. And finally, I got a job. So that's why I joined the Dries. Dries for you. Oh Dries for you. Okay.

02:11:52

Two things that are interesting about me. I was raised in Texas. That's the key question that I'm sure you're all raised. Right next to my family, I was raised there. And I'm currently doing Jidog. Oh, yeah. I love doing Jidog. It's a great exercise. And yeah, I think that's about it. I don't have much to talk about myself.

02:12:18

- Good morning. My name is Horkman, my name is Johnny, and I'm from Vietnam. I'm currently third year in Hanhengham University, and my major is in Chinese language. Chinese language.

02:13:24

I don't know. Sometimes I'm from the museum, from the travel and the hotel, the hotel, the hotel. I love the story of the history of the town. I'm actually in the local hotel and trying to go wherever I go. The tourniquet is independent. It has helped me as a company, making me work more on a hard time board and open my mind. It has also helped me as a city council, different perspective and important communication skills with people from the city.

02:13:40

Okay, so I'm going to stop my marriage for a moment. Again, remember what this is, it's for you to build up and to sell yourself. That's the way you have to look at it, it's the idea of persuasion. I'm the best candidate for a position. I can solve your problems. I have skills which is going to help.

02:14:13

Okay, all companies all products. Okay solve the problem. You are a problem. Think of yourself that way What are you going to do to get that position or differentiate yourself from your classmates? A degree will set you up Okay, it's good to set you up. Remember everyone in your major right now has the same classes similar grades Okay, so we have to start thinking about what makes you different from them Because if you're all going to be inclined with the same company or positions What's going to make you a standout candidate?

02:15:22

Imagine if I received all your resumes, you're all in the same major, you all resumes might basically be the same. So what is going to be something that's going to grab my attention? So that's today the idea of us talking a lot, trying to recognize things. So when people say things, don't be afraid to ask questions about them. So again, think about from an HR standpoint, we use that. We're giving resources from a team-centric standpoint. We're reviewing lots of applicants. Now it is again. Traditionally, I'll go back 25 years ago. From university, I got one of my first internships. I was working for the Canadian government in human resources. So I would go through hundreds of resumes. When I was third or fourth year students, that was my internship. We did it old-fashionedly in files. File folders in, again, it was a mess. But there was a task behind it. We still have it. It's all on databases. So when we look at a resume, we scan it. Think about ads the way you read web pages. We're looking for key elements, and it's that simple. Yes or no.

02:16:01

You want to be on that nest spot. You want to grab our attention. So that's what we want to do. And again, think about the survivability. Now we have to add a new layer to that, and that's obviously that companies are using AI to scan your resume. So before AI will, again, we want AI to recognize your strengths. Before we give it to human beings, AI will, sorry, the HR team will look over that too and I want it to be this person and this person through those others. Okay? So again, that's that idea. Okay? So what we want to do today and this week and next week's homework, I'll tell you right now, researching the companies you're applying for. You have to understand them.

02:16:56

That's a big difference again in the idea when we're looking at success rates. Applicants know the company that they're applying to. People might know the name, they might recognize a couple of their products, but they don't understand the nuances within a company. So when you start looking at this, this is the idea. So for homework I ask you to look at two personality tests, your MPTI and principles in you. First one we're going to look at is the MPTI, 16 personalities. What I'd like you to do is to pull that up. Now remember, personality tests is a prediction. They're not scientific. They're insightful. So hopefully as you've read this you can go,"Oh, that's right. That sounds correct." If you share it with your mom or dad, your brother, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend, they go,"Oh, that's you." They'll agree to the good and the bad ones.

02:17:15

Remember, it's insight. Some of this is probably not true. And I also want you to recognize that as you're going through some of the contents. Everybody done that MBTI before, yes? This is probably everyone's second, third, fourth time. How many of you changed? Your MBTI changed.

02:17:40

Okay, Norway is about 50%. Okay, and again, there's nothing wrong with the changes. Probably a good bit. Okay, you can see and understand because that's part of this course, is the story teller. You recognize it, how can you share an example of it. It says on dot dot dot, what's something you do in your everyday life? Think about the ideas when we're looking at resumes as well as life experience, qualifying,

02:18:01

You say, I'm a hard worker. Everybody would say that. Prove it. How are you a hard worker? Well, I wake up at this time. Every morning, I write a list of my to-dos. Okay? Again, I am very schedule-oriented. I'm time-oriented. What are the elements? Think about how, again, we're just trying to talk it out. Okay?

02:18:21

Whatever the reasons behind yes or the opposite, this isn't true. Maybe it will say you are dot dot dot or actually I'm kind of the opposite. That's the nuances and where these break. Only look at the 16 personalities. Okay? But before we do that in your workbook, we're going to test this because again I told you in your workbook,

02:18:58

To help you with this, instead of scrolling, you can always go to contents. Chapter 1. Right now we're going to be looking at the idea, remember for the new students too, it's interactive. These are some of the different elements we're going to be working on today. But right now we're going to be talking about what we've referenced, the big five. Ocean. So what I want you to do, not based on your previous ones, I want you to think about some of these different words in regards to that. This is your ocean, openness, conscientiousness. You can identify these elements. Where are you?

02:19:26

Okay? So put yourself on this. Okay? I'm going to have you join the group right here. Okay? I'll be working on that. So again, when you're looking at conscientiousness, everyone, conscientiousness. Come on, guys. You can say this. It's a tongue twister. Conscientiousness. Conscientiousness. Okay. You can't say it. It's a problem. So again, when you want to start looking at these elements, okay? Again, this is your idea. Okay?

02:20:09

plan organization so how am I going to conscientiousness for myself how do I run my life I want to be focused this is it all point that's me okay so what are you this I do things earlier than later I want to get things done early okay so yeah we're going to this consciousness I would be probably very strong you can wipe yourself openness again idea new ideas some people just like again think about the opposite you don't like new ideas you would much rather unschedule you like to have a task and be within that goal okay extraversion where do you get your energy

02:20:33

So this is different, right? We can talk personality, but I get a lot of energy from being with new people, new students. I like an audience, I like to work on teams. Some people don't. Some people wanna work remotely, some people wanna work at home. Okay, in that place. And there's nothing wrong with that, so you get your energy from working alone. So again, think about those elements. Agreeableness, okay? How empathetic are.

02:21:01

Okay, do you want recognition? Some people want to be recognized. Okay, where other people are getting much more subtle. Okay, and again we can all slip when we're talking about the gratefulness. South Korea? Nunchi. Okay, how's your Nunchi? Everybody says they have the Nunchi button. Okay, so again when you're looking at those elements, someone will talk to you about Nunchi when they don't have it.

02:21:45

There's an irony there too. That comes back to your conscientiousness. They're connected. Neuroticism. Last one. This one's tough one. Neuroticism. Everyone. Neuroticism. So when you're neurotic it means people who worry a lot. But it doesn't mean to be necessarily stressed. How you view your future. So some people work really strong with stress. Again they're planning. They're catastrophizing. But do they do it to a point where it gives anxiety? Or do they do it where they become very rigid. They're very prepared for every situation. Okay. Again this tells you that people will work hard based on that. Or the opposite.

02:22:11

They don't care. We all know people are just, it'll work out. I'm not neurotic. - It does. - So again, what I want you to do is in your workbooks, you can change that. So consciousness, again, weight yourself, you can see that number. Okay, where would you see yourself? Okay, planning ahead? Yeah. Probably a 90. In regards to that, this is just me. Think about yourself. If you're reading wellness, I'm in the middle.

02:22:31

Okay? I'm kind. No, let's see. Actually, no. I'm listening to my wife in my mind. No, I probably am too nice sometimes. I think about others. Neuroticism, worrying, emotional. Yeah, I'm a father now in regards to that. Openness, new ideas. Boom. Extraversion. Boom.

02:22:56

Okay, so again, start thinking about how you would weight yourself right now. Okay? Self-awareness. What would you do for those? Okay, so do that. Take that for a moment. Now what you do is just to think about how you would share that with your classmates. Go right. You could share the plot and the graph. What would you plot yourself there? Okay, we call this the motion. This is the most basic,

02:23:17

personality tests that they use. Okay? This is in your workbook. Okay? So you can see this. Right? Again, you can just use the PPTs too as well. Right? Go to DEX. Click on DEX and all the PPTs. Okay? You can see that. We're right there. Discovery. You don't have to take a picture.

02:23:37

Okay, so go around, just measure yourself and solve that. But we're okay, it moves for you. Right, today, introspective, we're looking inside, and it's, hmm, that's a good question. Where would you see yourself?

02:24:07

Then you're going to share this with the classmates. You're in the workbook? You have a workbook? - I finished the first chapter. - Okay, that's great. Okay, so we're going to talk about it. - Yeah. - I've been talking about it. - Okay, we can just talk people through this. I can't imagine you can see that on there. Okay. Okay, once you've done, start talking. We'll come to the NETI after. We're going to do three in a row. We're going to do first the ocean, and we'll talk about NETI.

02:24:27

And we'll talk about principles you want to separate. Where do you see yours?

02:25:03

When you're ready, talk it out. Today is a deep talking.

02:26:12

I'm less pessimistic or also less optimism. So that's my lowest part. And my highest part is"Kanshi consciousness".

02:26:33

Okay, so we have lots of teamwork in my department. So the most important part, I think, is the trust in teamwork. So I put it in my highest part in myself. Okay, that's great. Yep.

02:27:53

that's I think that's my point what you're saying is like in the middle so I'll go next my highest part was agreeableness I tend to agree with people like I tend to avoid conflict because I don't like to be emotionally drawn from social conscious contrastes and I value emotion over I think that's why so my lowest part was openness and I tend to do things more traditionally so like if there's already a way that is working well I don't like apply new ideas or ways of thinking because it already works well I tend to be a bit more traditional a bit more conservative when it comes to work and progress yeah and I think I'm right in the middle between introverted and extroverted I gave 50 extroversion and I tend to work

02:28:17

I don't really worry. Okay, in like highly stressful situations. So that's why I gave it a 7. And that's about it. Okay. The harmony, I always refer to the same properly as priority.

02:28:38

I'm so scared if I don't have plans in the future. Yes. So every day I have to plan schedule for me. If I don't have, I...

02:29:00

It's either I am learning or I just... I think... Yeah, there's no idea. There's a tendency to worry. Emotions. Emotions. You are getting the bad side of both when you're not getting the bad side.

02:29:23

Emotion. Oh yes. So, yes. So, I think I should train my emotions or I will have to learn more how to environment myself.

02:29:52

Oh my gosh, that's so good. Thank you. I'm afraid of our students in South Korea. Okay, that's wonderful. I'm like, do you look not too compared to like, I always just heard about just Texas. Oh, yeah. About Texas. A lot of like, really. I don't know.

02:30:16

We are only Asian in the past. We are very faithful to our future. I love you. We have a lot of foreign drinks and Spanish. Have you ever been to other countries? I went to Vietnam. You're not Vietnam? Yeah, right.

02:30:39

Philippines but not Europe or USA so I went to Ho Chi Minh yeah but it was really a lot of motorcycles yeah

02:31:04

It was quite an experience to let me through the road, passing a lot of motorcycles and the road. It was fun.

02:31:28

Think about the storytelling behind the studio. You have time. Try to explain it more. So the idea when I could say this neuroticism, I used to be a zero. I didn't worry about everything. Younger Matt was just like 500. He said, OK, I'll figure it out. You know, that was me.

02:31:54

I've completely changed as I've got older. Why? I've become a father. There's other people I have responsibility for. Neuroticism as well. The idea is, again, I've seen my mother and father pass away. It's changed my way of looking at myself. I have to take better care of myself so I can take care of my family. These ideas now might worry more about things I agree to speak about.

02:32:27

Okay, and again, it's good and bad, but I wish sometimes I didn't care as much. It's an extra pressure on me. So think about that storytelling. This is that idea when you get into a job and you're getting to know people. That's that idea of, again, when we're looking at someone sincere. Okay, oh, this person is truthful. You're not telling me what I want to hear. You're telling me you're sharing a part of yourself as a team member. Okay, as a client, like somebody's being honest. You've seen this with salesmen sometimes.

02:32:49

They'll actually, you know what, you shouldn't buy this. It's too expensive. You don't need this. For other salesmen, they're just being selfish and thinking, sell, sell, sell. For good salesmen, no, no, come back, or do this, or wait. If you went to Apple a couple weeks ago, you know what, don't buy something now. The new product's coming out. A good salesman a couple weeks ago, go buy now. The new one's coming out. It's more expensive.

02:33:43

think about the storytelling in those opportunities where it's going to build your credibility and that storytelling share it. Has everyone shared their emotions? No? Okay, a couple more minutes quickly. Ask questions again guys if you haven't. Okay, share that. Neurodicism. Yeah, so someone could call you"he's neurotic","she's neurotic". Yeah. City Planet. Actually, yeah, I'm having fun with it. Maybe. Yeah, all of our class is team projects, so I always

02:34:10

Yeah, having my teammates fighting, team working. But it is actually fun to make my thinking, to make visualized in my computer. And in those progress, I just debating and fighting, and talking about those thinking about my projects.

02:34:19

That's very fun to me.

02:34:52

international students. I'm sorry, it's hard. Yeah. Because you have a lot of foreign students. Right. They are really good at your job. They're just very disturbing. And so, we're like fluent in other languages, like French, English, German. So it's more like about the language rather than the Spanish. And right now I'm trying to learn French.

02:35:16

I heard about the French. There's a kind of male word and female word. Every object is either a female or a female. Yeah, right. So I have to guess. I made terrible mistakes and it's called the French guys laugh after you. Yeah.

02:36:25

It is hard. Actually, I have an international expert student. Okay, so if you think you've finished, okay, take out your MBTIs. Take out the exact profile that they have. Show them it, but also at the same time, try to identify both the positive and negative elements to that. Okay? So everybody's MBTI, a couple of you change. Can you recognize the change? All right, so again, there's a percentage they give you, and again, some of those letters will change. E, I, extrovert, e-mort, does it change? It's where are you? Are there any big changes? And so forth. I'm trying to find a newbie.

02:37:06

Okay, I'll come back to this. What we're going to do is again on the website you can start to look at what's the actual name. These are called archetypes. Everyone just kind of reads it quickly. Archetypes. So again you can see that. ESTP, INTP. Again the difference. What is the difference between these? Then you can start looking at the different labels for architects they give you. There's analysts, explorers, sentinels, and diplomats. What are you? So again briefly go through and you can start sharing. Okay? Just to give you guys an idea of what I am. What do you guys think I am? That sounds really pretty weird.

02:37:31

Okay. Any idea what you think my archetype is? Yes. Okay. Let me just find this and try to fill a bigger one here. E. Okay. You're correct. Sorry? E-N-F-J. E-N-F-J.

02:37:57

So I am again what they call a protagonist. So again a protagonist, you can see this again, very extroverted. Again intuitive. Feeling, thinking, I'm in the middle, judging. A little higher. Again and quite assertive. When you're looking at that idea. So again what I want to do is you can share that.

02:38:57

I recommend actually keeping log in to the website because you can go back and see how things change. So to give you an idea of this before, 2021 during COVID, I've changed. I was an executive back then. So again, extraverted, I grew. More confident, just life skills and so forth. Mind, again, I just flipped over, observed it, more intuitive now. I'm using my heart, the way I look at things. When you're looking at feeling and thinking, just a little more, again, feel it. I've gone through a lot of life things now as well. I'm probably more empathetic after losing my parents and so forth. You know, my connection with my family and my daughter. Judging, actually grew. Okay? As well as the identity. Think about the time. During COVID, a scary time to be in place. Students, teachers, no one knew where we could die or where we could lose our jobs. Okay? Now it's kind of changed. Gay guy. Gay guy.

02:39:38

Okay, the same fear, so if we're going to die, or we're going to lose our jobs. Okay, but at the same point, I'm trying to be a little more assertive right now. Okay, so again, think about the storytelling. Okay, can you recognize that idea? We're going to talk about that next, where we start talking about our personality. What are you? How would you recognize yourself? Okay, what do you agree with with these personality tests? First, just go around and be together. Share it. Also try to identify the good and the bad elements too. Okay, so when you're looking there, it tells you, you can agree with these. I love building connections, networking, very social. Mentor, yeah, communication. I'm pretty happy with the positive ones.

02:40:18

But maybe there's something you don't agree with. But also look at the negative ones. Definitely these would be two my wife would agree with. I don't delegate. I take too much on. I can do it. I try to do everything. And that's where I probably exhaust myself. I probably work too hard. It sounds arrogant, but it's just my nature. I want to learn. I want to do it myself. But you know what? I could let a colleague, I could let one of my students who are doing research, they could learn from it too. Okay? Okay. Conflict? Again. Yeah. I like to have hearty. So sometimes I will avoid difficult conversations.

02:40:47

Take me personally, depends who it is. If it's someone close to me, depending on their reasoning for saying something about me, if they mean it, I trust them, okay. Tough love hurts, but sometimes it makes you a better person. But with someone I don't know, do you know this? I don't give a damn. I'm being honest that way. So think about the storytelling as you learn through that in BTI. It's as it says things. The same thing. If I put this in front of my wife, she would go, yeah, that's you. That's you.

02:41:08

Like if you share this with your mom, with the family, with her boyfriend, girlfriend, what do they say? Oh, that's good. Even though you don't see it, they see it. Right? I think that's part of that, again, we call introspection. Do we recognize it? Extrospection is what do others see? So that's why taking personality tests are valuable. Same thing, though, when you look at your horoscope.

02:41:38

What year are you going on? I'm the air of the tiger. I'm a Sagittarius. If you read a horoscope, you're always going to find something in there that is reflective of you. And that's just the nature of our mind. We're looking for something. But what do you disagree with? Are you going to? Like, imagine you're an MBTI. You meet someone,"Oh, what are you?" "Oh, we can't be friends." You know, they tell you what they are. Do you judge someone by their MBTI?

02:42:04

Is that something you're going to, again, a relationship, a friendship? Working with someone. Oh, they're going to talk about that. Would you allow that to not be an issue? So you want to think about that way. Introspection, extroflection. What do we recognize, but what do others recognize? Homework assignment we might do later. Cacao with your mother and father. Ask them what's your personality.

02:42:30

Do the same words that the METI use, do you see those from other people? It's a tough question. Describe my personality. So would my personality traits match yours? So go around, you can share that visually. I like the visual element. I'm a visual learner too. What are you? What's your METI? What do you agree or disagree with?

02:42:54

And if you change, share what you change from. I was this, now I'm... So I'll move yours. My VTI is ENFP, but it's only by 2%.

02:43:32

So I don't think extroversion or introversion matter that much. So my previous MBTI was INFP, but after I meet people and because of some series of events that unfolded this year, I became a bit more extroverted. And I try to value emotional harmony rather than conflict. I try to take things the way they are and try to find meaning in them. But I don't plan ahead when it comes to...

02:44:12

things and works so I should improve on that spectrum and Yeah, I should be a bit more planning and I should be a bit more objective when it comes to necessary conflict and arguments That's about it Yeah I've been changed previous test I was INTJ in the test so like

02:45:02

It is. Architect. I think I might find my department real. Okay. And another test told me I'm a planner. So urban planning. It makes me sense in this department. So my T and J was quite strong. So I like thinking and planning. And my I and N was very middle part. So yeah. Yeah. It just showed myself. So I retract and planning. That's my MBTI results.

02:45:28

That's great. That sounds like you. Yeah, it sounds like me. Oh, okay. Me and TJ. Right. So, honestly, I'm not a sad person, but yeah. I'm always a few sad people. When I talk.

02:52:15

I mean, I'm not a teacher. I'm not a teacher. I'm not a teacher. ...the timing. Principles in youth is an actual real corporate personality test. So if any of you are going to apply to Samsung, Hyundai, Global Unicorn, J-pop, they all have their own internal personality.

02:52:45

Why? Okay? Based on the way they structure their organization, okay, they're looking for certain characteristics for certain roles. More importantly, they're looking for people maybe that have a characteristic that other people on the team don't have. Think about that like a USB. Your unique selling point. I can do this where no one on the team can't do that. Okay, we're also looking for certain, again, if you have a professor who is introverted, Are you able to be successful?

02:53:17

It depends. Are they a researcher professor? They're doing lots of research. They're not along the class time. They'll be very successful. On the other hand, if they have to run a lot of classes, they have a lot of time with the students, there needs to be a certain element to this. I think. People have proven that wrong, but I think it's important from a student-centric standpoint that the professors are trying to show them enthusiasm because If your professor is enthusiastic, you will be. But if they're like,

02:54:11

not so you want to start thinking about those elements over the principles and use made by a radio he's a billionaire he's one of the few billionaires in the world actually like most billionaires are too corporate centric again you can see certain archetypes where they're going to try to take over the world he runs a great water which is a big investment firm okay new york city but he offers a lot of advice his idea with the personality test is he wants the best employees he wants them to continue to work so by taking personality tests you recognize the good the bad and how you can use this as an opportunity for you to again recognize i'm doing this but i need to fix this this is going to be a job-in-law question what is your greatest weakness

02:54:44

Okay? Some people, I'm a hard worker. I'm a hard worker. Okay? If that is your greatest weakness, I'm a perfectionist. Okay? It's not really sincere. It's not what we're looking for. You have to be self-aware of what your weakness is, how you're trying to fix it. Okay? I've had people tell me what's your greatest weakness. They don't understand the question. This is for, again, you being introspective and realizing this is my weakness. This is what I'm doing to fix it.

02:55:39

The behaviors aren't good. So for some of you, maybe English is a good weakness. Public speaking. This class has a chance to improve that. I'm taking this semester, I am doing that, that, that. So, okay, one of my biggest weaknesses for insecurities is when I'm speaking career. I'm always insecure. Like you probably feel speaking English a lot of times. This semester, I'm dedicating four days a week where I'm going to be doing an hour, two hours, again, a public speaking career. I'm overcoming my fear. I have to. I've been here long enough, but we all know learning languages is an ebb and flow. Good and bad, mental exhaustion, fears. That's one of the things I'm doing. For weakness. Okay. So again, when it comes down to what we're looking at weaknesses too. I work too much. I over invest sometimes.

02:55:59

okay so what am I doing since I'm trying to actually disconnect so again one example I didn't use my phone all weekend we went up to where did we go churn one we were right near the North Korean border yesterday camping for two days no streams with my daughter we were quite walking around but the thing we were just tying up

02:56:21

You know what? There was other, again, there were 10 young girls with my daughter. They were all talking and having fun with them, like doing up-to-date. No one looked at a pillow weekend. No one looked stressed. It was just something for me to try to impart in that. You know what? That doesn't matter so much. So think about the behavior.

02:56:40

This is that idea when we start looking at what is your personality? Oh, what's the trait? Behind how can you tell us These are questions we want to ask later next week in your resume and in your job What's the story behind that? So what you can do is you can go to principles in you and

02:57:42

Again, they use different strategies. What are minor? Interesting. Maybe not. Entertainer, orchestrator, okay? And pursue. So when you're looking at this, there's strong leaderships. And the way they organize this is also by violence. Okay? So again, up-going, inspiring, and energetic. I agree with most of those. Okay? Planned, precise, people oriented. Why? Okay? Useful in the classroom? Take your sin to the spreadsheet. I hate spreadsheets. That's my big self. Okay? But again, when you look at some of these things, I think they are quite true. The idea of thinking of me as an entertainer, I don't really like that. That makes me feel alive. Okay? I'm a comedian or some words. The idea is like, again, holding a room. When you look at the definition, that might be better for us. Because what we're trying to do is try to identify the next task will be going for the personality. What are words you like?

02:58:02

I don't like the word entertainer, but I like the idea of holding a group. That's a good descriptor. Right? So the same thing with NBTI, the good and the bad. What are some of the terms we can use? When we looked at the other elements when we were talking about, again, your feeling, okay? Judging. Judging to me is kind of negative almost. Or feeling, right? It sounds emotional.

02:58:28

I don't want someone to call me emotional. But is it true? I saw a TikTok this morning on the subway bar. It's going to tear. What was that a TikTok screen? It was a touching moment where it got me here. I am empathetic. So you want to start thinking about what are going to be the words you like or are honest. But if you don't like the wording, how can we rephrase it?

02:59:02

right we're creating a personal work how are you going to share this okay so it comes down to the idea of a personality shot how many people think they are shot personally shy would you tell somebody that dropping a deal I'm shy probably not a good idea so how could we say that in a new word what's a better ever more positive way of framing it, how could you say I'm shy?

02:59:29

Cautious? You can almost think about that 0 to 100, that bar. Shy, where would that be on 0 to 100? Where would shy be? Positive negative. Shy would be? I'm going to say maybe 40, 30, depending on where you are. It's under 50, I think. Right? It's kind of, there's an element of negative. So how can we make it better? Cautious? Where would that be?

02:59:50

16, 15. Anything else? Anyone think of a better way to say that? Reserved. Hmm? Reserved. Reserved. Reserved. Yeah, you can say reserved. Is that good? Positive? I think it's about 50 again. Humble. Humble? That sounds a little better than that. I think we went up there.

03:00:11

If you're shy, you know what to say better? Because think about that. When people say, could you turn it up? I'm a little shy. What does their body language do? Well, like their shoulders come forward, they look down. Some people will say that. So how could you say that personality where it can be reflected physically? OK? So instead of shy, this is my recommendation.

03:00:39

I'm a good listener. Right? You know, Richie, I like that right in the middle. Right? You know, the same thing is that, you know, I'm a good listener. You can actually smile. It's positive. Reinforcing. Even though it is a little negative, right? Again, we're trying to think about how we can build ourselves up that way. I'm a good listener. Okay? My sister, definitely a good listener. My wife, very good listeners. And again, they're a little, they're introverted.

03:01:19

But there's nothing wrong. Some people will say introvert, extrovert. Okay, they're both negative. To extrovert, you might hate me in the future. You take too much. Introvert, they don't talk enough, so let's try to find that balance. Okay, so share your principles in you. Compare and contrast the results. And what I'm going to do is in about 5-10 minutes, I'm going to ask you, which one do you prefer? This results in that result in a lot. Okay? I'm sorry, principles in you were longer, but that tells you if you go and get a position at one of those companies, you're going to do something like that.

03:01:42

Some of the questions almost felt like they were repetitive, right? They asked you almost a second time the same question. You doubt yourself, right? But that's part of the question, testing, okay? Do you even change in that? So that's that opportunity. So again, think about that as a reflection. If you get a job in especially the larger companies, you will do one of those.

03:02:05

So again, continue on starting the marketing. Finish your MBTI and then the other one. Today's a big talking day. I'm sorry, I'm just going to go through that. Oh yeah. Show me your principles and your goals. So I'm a good listener, I guess.

03:02:42

In other words, I think I'm kind of reliable, responsible. In other words, I think I'm a leader.

03:03:06

I am the entertainer. So are they-- OK, can you see somewhere where you're, again, in related? So I have my two here, and there's my other one. Right? So you can see those people together. You won't see people normally like this. OK? The other thing you want to look at is personality. How it relates to your nature.

03:03:36

Okay? Certain majors have certain types of qualities that they're looking for. They're naturally gravitating. Okay. I've done a job. I'm sorry. That's the enthusiasm. Okay, so at the middle point, I'm in the architect.

03:03:59

Yep, a planner. So I'm someone who is kind of strategist and orchestrator. The opposite was professor, entertainer. Exactly. Yeah. That's true.

03:04:19

I just want to hear about you more. You could talk more. So it's okay for me. Same with me too. But I don't have ritual. Yeah.

03:04:42

Oh this one. The website. So you could go in LMS. LMS. Yes. And... I'm very, very appending to other people. Maybe this one.

03:05:05

I don't know why this is so good. And principal is serious. I am very off 91% of your group. I think I agree with my brother. I think my brother is a good person. I think my brother is a good person. How would you prefer a group? How would you prefer a group? I guess this one. No. Principal is here. No. This one. Oh, yeah.

03:05:28

Just summarize the key elements. Where are you? Which island are you on? I just closed my tab so I think it's all-- All in here. Yeah. Thanks. That person that's being used to like-- Wait, I see that or like-- There's more of what's--

03:05:55

I just got PDF file from here, but now it is gone. Have you guys shared your...

03:06:24

Yeah, right. I'm in the Arctic Island in the middle part. So I'm closest with planner and also close with strategist and orchestrator and opposite with professor entertainer. OK. And I think I'm a very good listener. Also, I could say myself, reliable or responsible.

03:06:45

That's it. That's great. . . .

03:07:13

We're very in the opposite side. I mean, I don't see. How do you guys manage that? I'm an adventurer. Or should I ask for questions? Is it a neighbor? Is it a neighbor? How do you guys manage that? And are you guys far off now? Peacekeeper. Yeah. I got the result of peacekeeper. It says here that peacekeeper's date.

03:07:35

I'm going to share all these positive relationships between people and seek harmony. So I tend to compromise when it comes to situations. And I don't like your conflicts, so I prefer your cooperation.

03:08:09

I'm being empathetic, being agreeable. I need to improve on my own decisions and making my own voice when it comes to ideas. I should be a bit more assertive when it comes to conflicts and when it comes to making decisions. I'm also in trouble because that tends to happen in my own universe.

03:09:49

and I should be more decisive when it comes to, say, forcing my own. Okay, time. A key player, my player, my man. Okay, time is a cat traitor, along with throwing a man.

03:10:14

I love a project and a planner. The combination of my natural building and the software, all companies complete. Simply directly and support members in the team.

03:10:56

I'm a role. I always try to play instructor. Oh yeah, so you're a role. And I'm just... Clarity. Clarity. And... In Korean, I'm a good work. My goal is to collaborate the leadership and organization, and to participate effectively to our academy, project and future professional and deaf. Thank you.

03:12:02

Yeah. Because ENFP is not the type of type of type of type. And then they are actually the type of type. So like I'm I. So which part of the island are you in? Hmm. You were. I saw a lot of ENFP turn into SNT while in study. So. We're going to go to the next study. Now I want to do this again. Start thinking about the personality. Examples of what those students test. Probably again, let's just curious. Who likes NETI?

03:12:28

Who thinks the results are more accurate? There's no right or wrong. Introducing five, six. Principles here. One, two, three, four. OK, two people are voting. So again, think about that. Normally, again, it's interesting. Normally, it's about 50/50 now. Again, it's insight. There's nothing truthful to that. What we want to do is, again, go down to the next bench, start clicking on it. How would you--

03:12:49

start describing your personality positively negatively okay so beyond your personality we want you to start thinking about how you can actually show a trait so not just saying like I'm hard worker my next question is prove it so you have to do it again start thinking about that idea think about how you would describe that

03:14:32

Okay? Think in both negatively and positively. When we look, again, being honest about negative personality traits is important for self-awareness. Okay? How are you trying to fix that? Okay? So again, what I would say is again, somebody would say, again, I read a schedule for a six-person project, we ship it weekly. Okay? That's right if you're talking about the idea of somebody's on a burger. Okay? But again, what we want to start thinking about is the idea of evidence. Okay? That's a job I do. We're looking for the storytelling and the narrative behind that. So again, I am impatient. That's a negative trait for me. My wife and daughter go yes. Okay? I just, the way I've been risen or, again, the way I've been raised, I've been based on schedules, my job, I have to be in a class. Okay? I like to get things done early too. I don't like having the neuroticism, the worry of being late. So even with projects, if I finish early, it means they'll positively or bad. Again, good and bad, I will continue to edit. So before I submit something, before I make something, favorites, I will keep editing. It is never done. I keep editing. I will check on you. That's not what I fix. Okay? Which is a good but a bad feature. So again, I can recognize too. It can be a stress for people in relationships. I don't like waiting, job interviews, you're like, they don't get the job. I mean, that's a no-go for me.

03:14:47

So these elements, what would that mean and how it can change my relationships or myself? So think about the storytelling behind that. That's the idea of traits and personality. You recognize someone for their personality, but do you recognize them based on the trait, their behavior? So think about how you can talk about that. So in your workbook again,

03:15:32

You can go down and you can click on these. I'd definitely say I'm creative. Compassionate. You can click on all of these. Friendly. Fair. Very good. Sympathetic. What would be the ones that also look at negative? If they're not on the list, add, make your own list. So start clicking on those and what we want you to do, and this is just for you, start to again building a list. How would you describe yourself at the bottom there? Make a list of how you would describe if you have any problems. Again, text message your mom or dad, boyfriend, girlfriend, best friend. What do you think is my personality?

03:15:53

If you don't agree with the personality test for yourself, you need some outside examples, people will tell you. Already today, this is happening. You're making judgements on me and my personality, but maybe that personality will change by the end of the semester. Matthew's very energetic, he's very talkative. At the end of the semester,"Oh Matthew's very energetic, he's very talkative."

03:16:22

Again, remember, depending on your person, I get energy from the classroom, but the problem is maybe I'm sucking your energy away now. So the way people view you too over time. OK? So think about this. Take a couple minutes. This is something you're not going to share. I want you guys to start focusing on that point of the words that you would choose based on your, again, personality tests, and just, again, yourself. How would you describe yourself? If they're not here--

03:16:47

Finding other words. Again, negative words are hard. Shy, goodness. Start reframing. Arrogant. Some people could say, they will say, he's arrogant. Do people say, I'm arrogant? Very few people are self-aware or confident enough to say, I'm arrogant. What's a better word than saying arrogant? Confident.

03:17:08

I would say I'm confident, someone else would call me Erica. Perhaps. So we'll start looking at things. Again, bossy. Someone would call someone bossy. You probably would have worked with someone that way. What would be another word to call someone bossy? Especially if it's yourself.
