Like exactly what? Yeah, I think we have to draw what it looks like. Like the tool would look like.
How do we want it to look? Does anyone have any ideas?
Wait, so this is like a tool for the music creation, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like the apps like that we were using kind of.
I think we can also describe it because it says up there you can use sticky notes or you can draw it. So, yeah.
What do you draw? Oh, there's time. Maybe it'll be like a dashboard, like you get your profile picture on the side and you get like a menu of--
Yeah, I like the menu idea definitely.
and the knobs.
And do we add like the colors and stuff to it?
Yeah, we should do it. We should make it color cut. It's easy to understand.
Yeah, um, we can do like a, should we do like a, I don't know, but we definitely need like a place for the motion to go and then like if we want anything special with it, I don't really know.
maybe under the profile picture it's like how are you today yeah wait and then where do we want the
user to like type in um type in like the prompt or like how they're feeling today do we want it to be above the music settings or like what it should probably be in the center right
yeah and i feel like it should be like the biggest thing like yeah I hate it it's false
yeah I agree
oh i like the drawing thank you okay i'm trying to think of like things to add but like i can't really remember what like what's on the other ones
maybe there's like a friend activity go avi say say what you were gonna say
I'll cut you off. Go ahead and finish your thought.
Oh no, I was thinking aloud.
I was going to say, Anna, we forgot what the other ones look like. You always just open them. We will open Suno to see what kind of things they have. Draw inspiration.
yeah I like the friend activity idea I don't know I don't know what color do we want
I don't know what specific color but I feel like having a gradient would be like cool because I feel like that kind of fits the AI theme like well and music as well so
I kind of like the yellow.
It depends what you're going for. If you go for minimalism, it's easier to use, but gradient looks more like professional almost.
Yeah, I don't know. You guys have to like that bit because I don't really know it.
Maybe we can make a gradient? Well, maybe not. - Okay.
Can I ask a favor? My computer is being the most buggy it's ever been in its entire life and I can't seem to load the mirror board. And I'm really curious what you guys are making. Can someone share their screen? I'm just so annoyed. At my computer, not anyone in this
call. I don't care for my shit. I should have permission. it's not okay but i'm just so curious oh yeah we i think i can okay i can share let me i can't oh there like that yeah thank you
that's the yellow you were talking about no i was just like in the darkness okay cool i love that yeah so then you would enter a prompt in like the middle that's you now i see the drawing thank you
and then uh and then it logs your entries on the right maybe it's just like like a like a widget or like a feature where it just goes into a little diary section and people just manually type in notes. Oh, cool. Just like unrelated. I don't know.
It's very interesting. I like that. I don't really have much ideas. I'm sorry. It's fine.
You're fine. That's how we're in a group.
Maybe this whole like center space will just be blank and then people can just click on it anywhere. to type.
Yeah, I like that.
Would it keep my past entries? Is that like what the write is? Just clarifying.
This is like past music projects, maybe. Like past songs they made or music they listened to. Oh, cool. Okay. I guess the journal is more extraneous.
and then when it has the um when it gives you like you're like typing your emotion cool and I wasn't here last time so like correct me I don't know what you guys did but like it types in your emotion and then it like generates a song for you and then can you toggle with that okay so you could toggle with them would it tell you why you generated the song that it did
i don't think so or we don't need that i don't know you tell me
i guess that'd be cool maybe we should do something like that we could add it in in like the
yeah yeah i think it could be interesting if like while the ai was like generating the song we could like like see what it was what it's like thinking about like if you guys know like the thinking thing that shows up in like chat gpt or like claude if you guys have used that so yeah
that's cool just because like i've used like suda before or whatever and then it gives me like a really upbeat song and you're like that's that's that's an interesting choice
that's actually a really good idea like having that added in Maybe we should look at the other people. They're doing... Wait, is that what we're supposed to be doing? Oh, they're doing very much technical things.
Oh yeah, I guess they're doing something more... I feel like that's fine. Can you show me your thoughts from last time?
I'm wondering that's you guys right? the same group
yeah this is ours okay accessible UI
love that does not impersonate other artists song rules what does that mean? what does number three mean?
like sometimes when I was generating rap it wouldn't even use the same beat it would just kind of warp which makes sense because that is like not that sophisticated but
maybe that's something that could be improved okay so like that like number three number four seem like give me good content right like not yeah yeah no which is super important i'm just trying to like differentiate them Ooh, number five. Do we have that yet? It's a good idea.
Oh, we should do that. Your idea. A giant warning, this is AI. No. I don't know. I feel like actual companies would be reluctant to make it very large.
Yeah, because they kind of want to...
I feel like there should be something here just to make it look balanced.
Yeah, we could... I really like the, like, visuals, like, the drawings. If we can, like, incorporate another one of them.
Okay, yeah. Um... All right.
I think we're going back to the main room. Let's do that.
Came up with a lot of great ideas. And some of the teams actually worked on the next steps that we're working on. It's just great. You guys get to save time. So I'll explain more about step two. We're going to work with the actual UI kits. And how that's going to look is... um we're gonna do feature ideations so more detailed explanation and also a glimpse of how the itch function the feature are gonna work and remember again yourself as a user so don't think about like other people out out there in the world but think about you yourself how do you want it to be like how would you um how should it be designed so that it is working the best for you specifically. And yeah, we're going to work on the ideation first. And we're not going to be divided into the groups, but you can, we're going to, sorry, you're going to work in your group space, but we're not going to be in breakout rooms. We're just going to spend time all together. So if you follow this line underneath your, whatever you worked on just right now, you'll find this. and you can just grab one frame. And the reason why there's so many frames is so that you can work on more than one. So one frame should only have one feature. So it's the same mirror board, just follow your line and go to your group space. And then, or you can like zoom out and then find the step two sticky notes. And if you can think of like three UI kits, you can grab three frames. And so that for other people to work with the same kit as well, please copy and then paste on the frame, not drag it over because no one else would be able to use it. Feel free to also use sticky notes drawing shapes if you would like Other than those UI kits right here as well So we're gonna work on the same mirror board and within this main room and we're gonna have 10 minutes and it doesn't have to be pretty you can just go ahead and
Dani, can I ask you before you let them go, could I ask you to go over kind of what that means? Like what is a UI kit? Like what's that big square in the middle? Oh, yeah. Just in case we haven't done this before.
Yeah, of course. So I'm not going to go over every element because I want you guys to be creative and even use it in the different ways that it was designed into. For example, let's look at this one. It's the volume fader and, you know, it has the volume sign and the circle. You can move it. But if you want to like use it. I don't know, for something else, you can rotate it or change it however you want, and then design that feature that you guys just talked about in your group. So those are just like example, like sample elements that you can bring and use in the feature ideation that you guys are working on. But again, please copy and then paste on the frame so that other people can use it as well. If you don't like any elements that are here, you can simply draw it by yourself or use the shapes. But we're doing this so that the features that you guys were talking about just right now looks more concrete and it's visually presented. But for example, like this one is the image icon, but you don't have to use it that way. If you want to use it as, oh, this is going to represent my diary, that's totally fine too. And please add text so that people can understand what you have to design with. And yeah, feel free to be creative. Create whatever you guys want based on what you just came up with. And let's say the idea that you guys just talked about in step one was drawing an animal, which is totally a stupid idea. But if you feel like, okay, before drawing an animal, we would have to name that animal, then you can work on that feature as well. So it doesn't have to be only about what you discussed, but could be an expansion on that as well. I hope that makes sense. Yeah. Please let me know if anyone has a question.
Another question for me. Sorry, just so I understand too.
No, that's great.
So in the 10 minutes that you're giving us to work on this, everyone does this individually. We're going to work on as many features individually as we'd like, right? Yes. So it's not just the main screen or just like, it's just... As many as we want.
Uh-huh. So it could definitely be main screen, but it could also be the step before that or step after that or even another feature that you would like to add on the main screen idea.
Got it. Okay, cool. Just clarifying.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for pointing that out. Okay, so we're going to have 10 minutes and let's go. *sniff* So if you joined late, go to the mirror board on the chat, find your group space, step 2. So if you just follow the line, you will find the step 2 space. And then grab however frames you would like to design that feature. or an expansion of the feature or add a feature. You can also draw it instead of using the kits that I provided or just use sticky notes as well.
I just want to double check, does anyone not have access to the mirror board and would like to tell us what to do and we can do it for you on the board? Everyone has access to the mirror board. Great. Cool. If not, DM us or on the chat.
The So again, it's one feature per frame so that we can kind of like separate it in each frame and see it all more clearly. So feel free to come up with like a weird element as well. If you want to add like an Easter egg to your tool or you want to add some fun, that's totally fine too. Doesn't have to be perfect because those are just ideas. You can also think about another way to make that feature you just discussed about in different ways as well.
We have about two minutes left, so try to... If you already did one feature, try to start another one. Thank you.
I always love that sound effect so much. All right. So I have removed some frames that don't have anything. I'm pretty sure it was all empty frames so that you guys can see the ones that have some features and content. And now for two minutes, go ahead and take a look at your teammates' features and react with stickers or sticky notes. If there's anything like overlapping with yours, you can talk about, oh, we can combine it like this or let's go with this one for this reason and so on. So two minutes react within your team to each other's feature and react outside of the frame so it doesn't, you know, change anything about the feature. Okay, two minutes. Go ahead and leave some stickers, sticky notes, reactions to each other's frame. Okay. place your reactions like outside of the box. Can be like, oh, I like this. We should definitely have it or we should change this like that. Yours is like the same with mine but let's change it like this and that and so on. You can use sticky notes, stickers. Try to leave reaction for every feature if you could. You can also react to your own feature. Like, I really want this. Alright, 30 more seconds. Again, try to react to every feature that your teammate have come up with. If there's any feature that doesn't have any reaction, please go ahead and leave a reaction for that as well. Give a little comment. If you really don't like something, you can talk about, oh, maybe we should change this in that way. I still see some feature that doesn't have reaction. I think it's because, you know, some people worked on multiple feature, which is great. and others are still taking a look at it. I'll give you guys 30 seconds, another 30 seconds. Again, this is within your group. So... Okay, we're going to transition into next phase and let me explain about it first. So we have just reacted. So originally I was only going to let you guys bring the feature that has like key reactions, but I think you can discuss in your groups which features to bring into the main feature box. It's right here, the final features. So whatever you guys have discussed and have rich consensus, like this one has a hard and sticky note, so we can definitely bring this here like this. But talk within your groups about this. And now we're going to first work on two elaborations, filling in the blanks, which is right here, step three. So let me unlock those frames for you guys. Now you can see it. It's right beneath the features, the final features and then here. So what you're gonna do is you're gonna fill in the blanks. So please discuss within your team to fill in those blanks. There are total five blanks because there's two for question three. And then after that you're gonna work on your user flow. So what user flow basically is, is showing how the user would navigate through your tool. So it will look like this, this is an example, like a little silly example that I made for you guys. Let's say user clicks the plus button, user can either create a document or create an image. They type it and then AI makes the content and it doesn't have to be perfect. That's why I'm showing you guys ugly lines like this and it can definitely go back to the previous phase. And then I just want you guys to use different colors for start, end, and then the tool and user. I have specified the color keys in the user flow tab, so don't worry about this. So again, just to go over the steps again, you guys discuss what are going to be the final features and then bring them like, oh, sorry, click it, bring the frames into final features. Now you see the final features, looking at those, talk about how to fill in the blanks right here. After you have completed filling in the blanks, transition here and then make the user flow. The easy way is that someone who knows how this tool operate, you guys probably know by discussing it here, can just start and make more steps. Good thing about Miro is that if you click here, like hover, it creates another square, like boom. So you can easily do it like here, if you hover here, or you can also hover here as well. And then another person can go ahead and add more steps or going back steps or another step. What if the user doesn't like it? Or what if user wants to change this and that? So different thing once again. Drag in the final features over here, click on the frame and then drag it. Looking at the final feature, fill in the blanks. After filling in the blanks, you go on to user feature. Please let me know if you guys have any questions. There is no right or wrong, this is about your tool. So try to fill in as many details as possible so that it will be built accurately. And also after this, if you, I think you can transition right away, you're going to choose one main color for your tool. But I think we can just go until this phase for now. And then let's come back to main room. Okay, so let's be in breakout rooms. bye have fun
I like the tabs I was not really understanding what I was supposed to be doing so I like the tabs
maybe the tabs could be combined with my journal thing
yeah that's what I was saying in the comments I thought that that could be combined - See, click on them. - Click on them. - So, final features.
- So first you guys are dragging in the final features into that giant square, right? That's the first instruction that we got? - Yeah. - Okay, cool.
- I can copy and paste that. I don't know why it's not like...
Okay, you know what? It's fine. Okay. So how does it start? Okay. Oh, wait. I skipped a step. We have to go to step three. This tool is like...
Oh, wait. But are those all the features that we want? Are there other features...
I think it's just this one and then we do it like based off of
yeah I can move the top one over since maybe we can like merge them
okay and then we don't want frame 26 34 and 35 legit I'm just making sure we're not leaving anything behind yeah Okay, cool.
And so we can go... This tool is like... Is it like personality? I don't really know what that means.
I don't think it's like necessarily personality, because I think personality means like the AI chatbot's personality, right?
Or... Oh, okay. Maybe it's just, it's like a, like a, just a journaling. It's like a journal.
It's like a journal. Oh, that's perfect, yeah. I, I use. I can type it first. Okay. You see, like, I use my feelings or something, I don't know.
Oh wait, like I use page, like page apps?
Yeah, page to write down my feelings. When I imply emotions, my tool reacts by... maybe just like i feel like there's not really like if you like click that turn this entry into a song then it turns it into a song we could go like that okay yeah okay and then for the where does it start user
wait shouldn't it be like or yeah actually yeah that makes sense but another thing that we could do is like the first time someone opens the app they could just be prompted to like write a journal about today and then that way it's like saved as well but we could also just have it start by like the user clicking a button which oh yeah i think that sounds i think we should do that the like whenever they open the app or like by them clicking a button like when when they open
the app it helps them to create in the app wait yeah when they open and then wait guys i have
It will be like, and then what happens next is, oh my gosh, they write their--
Maybe it's like we can be more specific with the function. Like in the first one it's like, oh, there's a pop-up and then the user clicks on it. Yeah. And then it shows the menu.
The user. Okay. And then what do we want to go from there?
Okay, well, the user will click. Or the user will click now.
Oh, yeah.
How do you make the lines? I have no clue.
here wait if you make the squares I'll make the lines that should not be the one we're talking about it
there okay and then if the user clicks yes then they'll start writing their journal page journal
dashboard years yeah and then if they click no then it could just take them back to the normal app yeah like just the main screen okay
oh what just happened oops oh no you're fine I was just confused
Thank you.
and then we should have it like ask the user if they want to turn into a song or not and if it doesn't turn into a song then it can just go into like their stored entries okay but if it they say yes then it goes into their stored entries but it also makes a song
yeah I think that's a good idea
Is there another option for me if I open the app other than writing a journal entry? Like what if I want to like check past songs or something? I don't know. I'm trying to think.
I guess you have to click now.
Yeah.
And then it goes back and then it will go just to like their home page I guess. I guess the homepage can have their journal entries.
Okay, so would that start then be a homepage and then it prompts it? Like where would you put that in the flow?
I feel like you put it in where it goes, users take into page dashboard after they click no and like say that they have access to. and then have access
past. In the original menu, there was like a little button. There was like a button where you could go to the journal.
Another thing that we could do is have it only prompt them to write a journal entry only if it's like their first time opening the app in the day. So that if they're like opening the app for the second or third time, then they're not constantly like being asked if they want to write a journal entry.
oh that's a good point
do you want me to change it change that
yeah
cool I'll do that
I'm also noticing that I'm not sure that we answered question four and step three oh yeah I was just
thinking about that I just didn't know what we were supposed to put To keep our wish list from last section. Okay, I can look up at our wish list and see.
I think it's the one that we had above that we just, like, read out. Yeah. Are we saying, like, oh, what we used from that? It sounds like the idea is to look at that wish list and say, okay, to, like, make sure that this is kept here's a feature that we chose so that this principle is kept does that
make sense yeah maybe like the be accurate with feeling and scenario provided yeah yeah yeah that's a good one i feel like that's the most accurate that goes along with it
yeah so what feature did we decide to include because of that wish list
the journal because like it will make it really personalized
yeah go ahead and put that in I had another question. Just because I remember at the start of this, y'all were really excited about the friends and sharing aspect of it, right? Am I wrong?
Yeah, that was... Yeah.
Cool. Where in the flow is that go?
I guess it's not directly related to the journal thing, but it's just like they're on the main screen for if they want to share. Oh yeah, maybe there could be like a share button for after the song was generated.
Yeah. Could also be like a past century thing for both. You could share both. I have a question that I'm curious if you guys thought about. And if the answer is no, that's fine. I mean, I have to do it. But I'm wondering, like, if I were to use this type of app, I feel like I would give it very basic emotions, like sad, happy.
I don't know.
Something very basic. Okay. And I wonder how specific you'd like it to, what is the level of specificity you'd like it to require?
I think it would depend on the day almost because some days you might want to share more emotions and other days you don't. And it's more of like a journal thing. So like even when you're at home journaling, like some days you have more time, some days you have less time and stuff like that. So I feel like the AI should be like lenient with deciding what you want.
Yeah, cool. Like there's no baseline. It's just like what you give me is what you give me. Okay.
Yeah, I think one thing that we could also do is if the AI doesn't have enough like context to create a song based off of just like a really simple emotion, then what we could do is ask the user like questions, follow up questions. And we could have it be in multiple choice format as well, rather than like having them type out another response if they're like easier, because I've seen like other AI chatbots also do that sometimes. So I think that works really well.
yeah yeah i just used one today that i was like trying to code something and it's like do you want this or this and i was like oh thank you for asking me i didn't think of that yeah um yeah that's where the thank you that's where the thought came from cool where in the flow with that and it could be optional and like you said like it doesn't have to be i feel like it's just like
i don't know Maybe it can be in like when it pops up on the screen, it can just be like share what you want.
Yeah, add that in. That's a good idea. Awesome. And then while you're doing that, I know that Danny just opened up the option for us to name our tool and to give it a main color. So if anyone wants to take a stab at that.
What color do you guys think? Anyone have an idea? I liked the yellow that you did before.
Okay. I think Yellen threw that together pretty well.
Maybe Lakers or something.
And then do we have like a name? Maybe just like journal? I don't know.
There's a kind of word that's related to journal and music.
Yeah.
Notes. no um no i don't know i'm good with anything
no time no it's cool just because yeah i like that because it's like
You know what?
I don't think it's already a thing
you know it's really cute you might get confused with the apple
you know that's why that's why it was so familiar
We have another like minute or two. So are you good with that name?
Yeah, I like it.
That's cute.
I can't think of anything else.
You can make it their AI and be like, no time dot I-O, AI, whatever. They have all these names that are repetitive.
Oh yeah, people always put AI after they--
yeah it used to be io and now it's ai and i i don't know they're gonna have to use an e-bar soon Well, I guess we're going back.
Hi! So I saw that a lot of you guys had a great time with the user flow and even the main color. So I wanted to debrief about this. You guys are going to choose one or more if you want. Colors to be the main color, the theme of your tool. So you can talk about what is going to be the vibe of this tool. And after that, you're going to come up with the main screen. So I will open this right here. So you can definitely do more than one screen, but this is to help the live building process about how this tool will mainly look like. So you can either just bring the final feature screens that you had here and kind of like elaborate on it, or you can start from the scratch. If you wanna have more than one main screen, you can just copy paste the screen and then have more. But try to put as many details as you want and use that main color that you came up with as well. And to choose a main color, you can click on the square and then just click on it and then choose a color. If you don't like any colors here, you can also click on the plus button here and then choose it like this. But yeah, and then after that, we're going to have a break. All right.
Okay, so I can copy and paste the original journal thing.
Oh wait, but technically this wouldn't be the main screen. This would be an aspect of it, right?
Because we have the other thing with all this stuff. Oh yeah, so I... And we are sure.
or maybe we could just have it like that i don't know i'm okay with anything
oh um i don't know we could copy and paste the frame too and then add in like the journal thing okay too and that like kind of blank spot Oh my gosh.
I'm sure.
I don't really know where to put it. sure i guess we'll just maybe move uh make this like smaller oh my gosh you can also group it
wait let me just group this one right here i group this together and then
. Can we delete the things that you see I'm hovering over? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. Oh, wait, what did I just do?
OK.
Like that.
Alright. I guess some groups were still working on it. If the things look like need more details, I'll give you guys more time. But for now, we're going to have 10 minutes break and then meet up after that to actually build the tool that we came up with. Alright, see you guys in 10 minutes.
Okay. Okay everyone, let's start coming back. And please turn on your cameras. We have 30 more minutes of this session. We got this. We're gonna do a quick check-in. So in the chat, you can just put your, how you're feeling in your mind, body, and heart, like always. and then after that we'll move on to our final activity So again in the chat, yep. Just put how you're feeling. Okay, you can keep adding in the chat. But Dani, do you want to lead us into our last activity?
Yes! So this is a fun part. We're actually going to do live building. Your facilitators are going to be there to work on this. How this is going to work is that we're going to use Gemini to bring your tool into life. Your facilitators will share the screen and type in any modification you want to make. And they can also just change the code here in case it's about the title, Octarina. You can change what it says from the code and it will automatically update on the preview. But you can also say, oh, I don't like... You can tell the facilitator, I don't like the font or I don't like the logo. Can we change it to this and that? and they will type the prompt to change it and it will be shown to you guys as they're sharing the screen. And while they're sharing the screen, you will also see the sketch. Let me share the screen like this. Like this side by side so that you can, while you guys are seeing the preview of the app and prompting to change, you will also see your tool, idea, and the rules so you can refer back to it and try to align it. All right, let's do it.
Just to double check, should we, because I don't, do I have to refresh to see?
Yeah, I'm also in the Gemini. Do I have to be in the group too?
Yes, you would have to refresh the whole thing. And do you see the chat? I will, you have to open through the. hamburger menu right here to close and open
I think mine's still loading I just refreshed it
okay and if you don't see you can also go to my stuff and you will see this Octarina is group 1 no time group 2 group 3 is still modifying some stuff so yeah do you guys see it?
Okay, I see it now. Okay, great. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. On how we like use the day. Okay.
Sorry, I just got in. I caught the last bit of your sentence, Anna. What did you say?
I'm kind of confused on how we're using, like, Gemini and stuff.
I am here. Watch. Oh, okay. Yeah. Just because it was hard to get permissions for everyone. So I will be your... let's see hello oh i guess okay how about we do this sorry i'm also going to turn my camera off
not because i don't like you guys just because that way i can share my entire screen
and put you here and then i can like show you the desktop Okay, could you see my desktop? Not yet. Not yet?
How about now? There I see it.
Yeah? Yeah. Amazing. Okay, cool. Great. Now you can see how many tabs I've opened, which is always very embarrassing, but you'll Cope with me. Okay. So we're supposed to have the user flow on one end. So this is the user flow just so we can get it. And this is our app. Look, it's cool. So what Dani did during the break, just so we're all on the same page, is she took everything that we designed and she put it into what's called a PRD. which is a product requirements document, and then gave that to Gemini, and then Gemini made an interactive web tool based on that, right? And so what we can do now is look at this, see if we like it, see if we don't, and it's supposed to be interactive. So do you want me to go through it for a second and see if it works?
Yeah.
Awesome. Okay. So I'm scared to touch this, but let's see. So there's a pop-up like you wanted, right?
Yeah.
Yeah. Okay. You look at the flow because I'm having a hard time with both. Let's say I want to start my first entry. So I click that and then, ooh. Oh, wow.
Yeah.
Right? That's cool. I'm glad you think so. And just so we know what the backbone of this is. So this is the preview if you ever try this yourself. And this is the code. And so we can always go into the code and look at what's happening. But we actually don't have to. So we'll just go through the preview. And if there's anything that we want to change, tell me. And I could ask it in the chat to change and it does it automatically. Okay, cool. So I'm still going through it. So let's say I want to type, right? Oh, why did it not give it? Okay, it's not letting you type or something. But technically you can type, I guess. And then... And then you, and it has the date, which is really cool. And then I guess I could like tell out how happy or sad I am.
Yeah.
Is this for me to put a picture? Perhaps. Okay, that doesn't fully work. And then I transform this entry into a song.
Okay.
I love that I detected a deep sense of longing in my gibberish. That's great. Yeah, and I guess this is where the song would be. I don't know if you guys are able to...
Yeah, it's not playing, but this is what it would look like. Yeah.
Yeah, and then I think you can play the voice, the drums. that's really cool anything that we want to change about this flow i think it actually looks really
good like i feel like it's what i envisioned yeah yeah i think it looks good too but one of the
things is that the color scheme is different on this new uh new screen compared to like the old
oh that's true it's more like it's true
Okay, let's see if this works. Let's do it together. Make the color scheme on the song page. Same as the journal page. Hello. Go, yeah, go. Okay. Okay, it's still thinking. It might take a while to think. I feel like we should go through all the flows and then collect a bunch of prompts and then do it. But we'll do that next time. Okay, cool. Let's try it again. So, start my first entry. Right? Okay. Something. Something. There's a test. Whatever. I'm super happy about this. Stop. Okay. Then transform into song. Oh, it's yellow now.
yeah better yeah but the um the like music part is still blue like the where the music's gonna be
oh yeah um i wonder if that could but is it like music player yeah maybe all AI thinking indicators. Okay. slow because Gemini's slow but also because like yeah my computer's doing 15 things at once and it's kidding me it's gonna cannot share everything all at once
come on
Yeah. Okay, let's do it one last time. First entry. Type something. Type something. Cool.
Move this. Do we like this? The toggle situation?
The what situation? The-- not toggle, what's it called? Bar? No.
Yeah, I actually do like it because I feel like if it couldn't fully grasp what you're saying in your journal, It's a really good backbone to fall on or something that it can use for reference.
Yeah, perfect. Okay, cool. And then we do transform into song.
It's still blue.
It's still blue. But the button is yellow. I'll give it that.
Yeah.
It's trying really hard. Okay, let's try another... We'll keep that as a note. Let's try another flow just so we know what the other one looks like. Well, one, do you like the pages situation?
I do. That was one of the first thing I noticed that it has like different labels for like different journal entries that you've been doing.
Oh, cool. These are titles of journal entries. Yeah. Awesome. Okay, I looked at them as pages, and I was confused about what that means. But you're totally right. I wonder what would happen if we do the other flow. Do you want to try?
Yeah.
Okay, so if we say skip to dashboard over here.
Ooh, that looks new. I like that.
Yeah, this is a little bit too.
yeah what should i click maybe like wait does new journal entry take you to the same place
where it took us yeah yeah that's amazing okay then i can like go wait can i go back
i can click the logo at the top yeah does that work
Can I? Oh, okay. It's the X. Do you want it to be clickable? Do you see what I just did?
Yeah. I think that will make sense having the X be clickable.
Making the, okay. Cool. What happens if I click on an entry? No. I think. OK, we haven't done that. Oh, and I can share it with friends, right?
Oh, yeah, the sharing.
Wait, where's my profile picture?
Oh, the little thing that-- the drawing. Yeah, didn't we have that in the--
right where was it supposed to be uh the top left top left yeah top left okay what's that it
i feel like it's like kind of fine without it yeah okay i kind of like the like um n dot as like the like um i don't know what it's called like logo yeah
I think we should fill in the space below it though or I don't know if that's just because the orientation is weird right now because we have it in a portrait type of view but I think there's too much space at the bottom yeah
uh I'm trying to like this is like what it looks like if I toggle with my screen
oh yeah I think if that's what it looks like then it looks good but if it just yeah
I mean do you want to ask it to fill it at the bottom and see what happens
I mean like what would we fill it with though that's the
We will fill it with. Um, uh, like you could just ask it to fill it with like buttons that are accessible for the user and see what it does.
Like, see what its ideas are with buttons or sorry, fill it with.
That button, um, enhance user.
experience yeah I don't know what will happen it's very broad Oh. cool. Look, it's adding intensity ritual.
Hmm.
and I just want to see the dashboard where is it did not happen what's happening maybe it's in the
entry no I'm sad you could ask the AI where like what page you added it to
Oh. You know where it is? Look.
On the first entry?
Yeah. I think it's like if I do whatever, like make this into an entry, it's here.
Oh.
Right?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's not what we wanted. We wanted more buttons here. Right, Angot? Yeah.
New buttons on the page that says welcome back.
Yeah.
I typed it verbatim and now it's plural. Yeah. A few people.
Oh, interesting.
Okay, we can see what it looks like. What do you think? Daily prompt banner.
Quick. Oh, I like the friend activity idea.
Reminds me of Spotify a little bit.
Mm-hmm.
Okay, I'm going to the dashboard. Oh, cool. Okay. So it has a prompt and it takes me to this page. And then I guess like a starter. We actually leave. This is really cool. Any final thoughts before we go back?
I really like, I think that was good that we added that.
glad ai is thinking with us not for us but with us yes yay cool okay let's go back to the main
room then awesome thank you yeah
Okay, this is the last part of today's activity. We're going to reflect on the tools that you just made. Ellie and Rodem would be great if you could click on share and then put the link on the meal board on the screenshot page so that they can just easily click it. Do you guys know how to do it? Did you find it? I'll show you. So you can click on share button right here, share, and then it will create a link. So if you could copy this link and then just, you know, make a text box and then paste the link. like this so that the...
Text.quare just so everyone finds those links.
Yeah, on the screenshot. So instead of putting screenshot, if you could just... Maybe you can also use sticky notes as well so that they can go in and try it. I'll put large sticky notes for all the groups. Here we go. Oh, nice! Ally is using the sophisticated link one. And meanwhile, everyone, based on what you saw, and also you can go ahead and try the link once again, you can reflect on the questions provided here. How accurately could you express your emotion with it? How accurately was the tool incarnated through the life-building process that you just went through with your facilitators? How was your experience with it? and you like it and you don't like it and I'm gonna give you guys five minutes to reflect on your group spaces so how to find it if you zoom out on the bottom there are the reflection space or you can also just follow the lines like this Then you'll be there So yeah I'll just get rid of it. Okay, group three, I'll put the link right now. There you go.
And then you didn't want us to put screenshots?
I don't think so. It's okay. Okay. Yeah, it was originally for outer groups, but it's okay. Okay, for now go ahead and come to your group space on the very bottom. Everyone, it's the same mirror link. Let me share it once again. On the very bottom there is a reflection space. So yes, come down. There you go.
And then... Reflection.
Okay, try to put at least one sticky note for all four questions. The mirror board link is shared on the chat once again. So come down and answer questions on the reflection. Okay, two more minutes. Sometimes I found that the Gemini website doesn't open for some computers in that case. You can just think about your experience, what you just saw through your facilitators monitor, and then reflect on that. Okay, we have two more minutes to reflect. Fill in at least one sticky note for every question. Feel free to fill in more than one sticky note as well. Okay, one more minute for reflection. And make sure you're in your group space. Try to answer for every question because some questions are easier to answer or think about. Okay, 30 more seconds. There's four questions. Group three, I'm saying that you guys might have seen only the one space. There's four if you zoom out a little bit. Yes. Okay, I see some of you guys are still writing, so I'll give another 30 seconds. Um... Group two if you could also answer the first question and maybe what you didn't like I think you really liked it I see that a lot of red papers empty which is great, but if you could think about anything that'd be great In group three we can think about question one three one two and four as well Could be just one word answer as well. Thank you. Okay, I will let you guys keep on adding and meanwhile I'm just gonna go to our last slides. So this was our last session and if I see you guys again, I think it might be something similar to what we did today and also wanted to share my email. Also share it in the chat if you want any feedbacks for your own project, if you have questions about my research or school life I guess, or you're interested in UX research, design, music information retrieval, maybe I can answer those as well. We have another journal question that is specifically about the vibe you want to turn into music and how the tool that you built today would help it. And yeah, I will toss it to Rodem and Ellie for the announcements.
Yeah, first, let's just give a huge thank you to Dani in the chat or just out loud. It's been so cool getting to work with you for the last five sessions and yeah I really my group didn't love the song that our app created but it was really cool to see it come to life um but yes please fill out your research journals today before you leave um I love reading them and I also appreciate when your answers are really thoughtful because then I actually have stuff to say about it um but yeah fill out your research journals um especially since this is also the last session that we have with Danny so you can kind of reflect on the last five as a whole and how you felt about this one. And then Rotom and I are working on, I guess I'll let Rotom talk about this because.
Yeah, no, that was a good start. I have two things today. One again, thank you, Danny. This was super cool. And from reading the journals, I know people have had a lot of really cool thoughts after these sessions. Here's my announcement. Next week, the week after, we'll be starting kind of a new series of sessions. I'll be leaving those together with a colleague from abroad, Finland. We're going to collaborate with international Yabs to do a really cool project, so come excited. yeah I'm very very excited to see global perspectives on talking about tech and democracy and rights it'll be really fun come to that other than that we're planning two in-person sessions towards the end of the year the first is kind of a more informal one on April 18th we'll send out more details soon but if you already are like I need to plan out my April 18th that would be really cool if you could be here we'll send out on the next email, kind of a poll, whether you'd like it to be at UW or somewhere on the east side. UW is easier for us. Eastside, I assume, is a little bit easier for you, but we can figure it out together as long as we get together and chat. It's always nice to see our faces. And just like last year, for those of you who are returning, we have been accepted to present our work at the iSchool Spring Showcase. That is May 28th. at U-Dub. I'll say more details about it later, but it's this giant showcase about where different students show their projects throughout the year and we will show our projects. Again, we'll talk about it more, but it was a lot of fun last year to do and share a poster and have you all talk to professors and students and, you know, get experiences. But I think we'll talk about more details later and then Allie the rest of yours yes so this Friday is
something called it's also called global day of unplugging but it's a day where people get off of their screens and plug into real life and so half the story the organization that I work for is hosting a challenge that encourages people to unplug for an hour um and Jonathan sent out the email today that has all that information. So just something cool to do with your friends and kind of get off of your phones and your computers. And then also wanted to plug that, we mentioned this a couple weeks ago, but the youth mental health summit that a previous YAB member was a part of is happening on March 21st from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Renton and I will be there and it'd be super cool if you guys are interested in learning more about like mental health awareness and there's gonna be a lot of cool people from legislators to like school leaders and obviously a lot of young people as well, I think like middle school and high schoolers so that's also a great opportunity and
yeah yeah well cool thank you everyone for all your work today and we'll see you soon you guys are free to leave yeah you can pause the recording thank you so much
thank all of you guys so much thank you Thank you.
Hi, I was wondering if it was possible for the in-person meetings, if I could Zoom into them, because I don't live in Washington anymore.
Yeah, I just messaged you back on Zoom. I'll check. Not sure for the one on the 18th, but I'll check for the high school one if there's a possibility.
Also, my parents might be fine with me coming back to visit Seattle, so I might be able to come in person as well.
cool that would be even better yeah it was fun last year right yes very fun yeah me and emily
ate like three different like servings of cheese the cheese is really good we really like these
things yeah people come for the food i totally get it that's i distinctly remember taking like
like all the cheese on the skewers and like eating at least three times me and emily love that cheese bro
Please tell that story next time we meet so people come to the showcase. I mean, I'm fine with marketing as cheese. That's fine, too. That's okay with me. Cool. Thanks.
Thank you, guys.
I'll message you guys about the journal because I have a medical account.
