Okay, hi group three. So that was first song for you guys. So in the group three space for the song one, please put up your reaction. Oh, what happened to this? It isn't in the same one as last time. oh no it's what do you mean by same one as last time yeah the board thing oh no no it's it's a new mirror board um i'll resend the link is thanks yeah of course um here you go and then i'll play the second song Never mind. I'll actually give more time for a song one. Okay, I'm gonna now play the second song. Let's go!

1
Speaker 105:26

So now we're on to second song of group 3.

Speaker 305:38

New birds. Moo birds. Moo birds.

1
Speaker 106:40

Okay, so that was the second song of group 3 and now we're gonna go to group number 3. The third song of group 3.

Speaker 407:01

Sunlight dances on the path we roam In this green park we find our home

Sound 3

4
Speaker 407:11

With every bar and every leaf Memories we build A jingle of time, laughter so sweet In this moment life feels complete Squirrels, teas and birds take flight We chase shadows and golden light Beneath the sky we're here to breathe With a playful heart everything's a tease

1
Speaker 107:52

Try to also think about some keywords or what would have been the prompt.

4
Speaker 408:13

Every dash abounds through nature's core, through fields of dreams, we're forevermore. We meet every step, a story we draw, together here we're free in awe. With every bar and everything Memories we build Oh so dear A jingle of time

1
Speaker 108:46

Alright, so that was number three Yes, I love how you guys are reacting actively and then now we're gonna listen to song four Oh sorry that was song 4 I didn't know I was muted. Feel free to write down some comments. Also one of you guys I sent a little chat message just for clarification on your song so if you could check. Thank you. Anyways, I'm gonna play the next song. This is song number five. Let's listen to it. Wait, sorry. Okay, here we go.

3
Speaker 311:02

Movers MooBirds

1
Speaker 111:58

Okay, so you just listened to song number five and now you're gonna listen to number six. Warrants number 6, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6. Nope, it's closing but let's listen to it until it closes. Think about any keywords that come up to your mind about the prompt. I love reading your comments. It's so good.

3
Speaker 313:37

okay we have 20 minutes but see you guys in the breakout room I guess people are

1
Speaker 113:49

coming back I I myself genuinely enjoyed this listening party the songs are so good I mean I think it's your prompt that did it well because last time we just tried it with one prompt it wasn't as good as this but let me share my screen once again and thank you everyone for leaving such great comments and great guesses about what the prompts would have been all right so the next part is you all left some reactions and now you are gonna go find your song if you're unsure you can message either me or Allie because we have all the names matched with the songs about hey what number was I but you probably remember it by seeing the comments and then you're gonna put your actual prompt to reveal the secret And then you're gonna put thumbs up for crack guesses, heart for wrong guesses, rock guess for someone right and wrong. I'll put the screen, I'll leave this over here so you guys can see it. And I'm actually gonna rebuild this. Oh, I am not, okay, I was screen sharing. I got scared that I wasn't. Gonna rebuild all those frames right here because those are where your original prompt. and your comment is going to be on. So go find your song. If you don't remember which number it was, feel free to ask either me or Ali through chat, or you can speak up as well. So let's say if you were this song, then you're gonna use this space. And you're gonna copy paste your actual prompt that you used. And then you're gonna mark each comment by using this feature right here. And so on. I will answer the chat pretty soon, but let me just... copy-pasted on the chat as well. All right, for those of you who messaged me, I'll answer right away. But let's spend about 10 minutes on this. and make sure you're in the right group space because if you're song number 10 in group 3 but if you marked in the group 2 number 10 that'd be wrong so yes feel free to ask me for the song if you don't remember and I left it in the chat how to mark it And then you already see it, but if you... Sorry. Okay, you already probably see it, but there's an overall comment section as well, but you can only do it after you're done reacting. for all the comments, then you can talk about how accurately people actually felt the emotion that you tried to convey. Let's first to the reaction pie. And if there's any confusion or like you feel like this is my song but someone else is leaving the comment, please let me know. I'll fix that for you. If you're on the right side, you would have to look at the right frame. Oh, sorry. I'm gonna... I think I might have confused one group. Oh. And. It was Once you're done reacting, you can put overall comments about how correctly people felt your emotion and why do you think it happened or what happened. If you're confused about your group as well, just tell me. I'm confused about, so am I the one who's putting the original prompt? Uh-huh. Oh, yeah. So are you asking if you should put the, oh, yeah, you're the one who's putting the original prompt, so you can just copy-paste the one that you used. Okay. Thank you. And yeah, if you're done with reacting, go on to the overall comment part and leave your overview as well. What happened? Why do you think it happened? And what do you think? Did people feel the same emotion or did anyone feel it differently? and so on. So again about the reaction, thumbs up for correct guesses, heart for wrong guesses, rocket for somewhat right and wrong. So Please let me know if there's any other confusions about your songs. If you're a If you're unable to put up some sticky notes for some error, you can just send it to either Ali or me myself so that we can also put it up. Oh, also feel free to go back to your own comment and what the actual prompt was. I think that might be fun to see as well. And how other people prompted their songs as well. I said some of you guys are using stickers to react. That's fun too. So again, you have to put your actual prompt and then put reaction for others' comments on your song. Thumbs up right, heart wrong, rocket somewhat right and wrong. Totally okay to be wrong because this is just what AI did. And then your overall comments about what happened, why do you think it happened. sorry oh never mind okay Oh, for reaction, you can go with the spinney like below the notes left side, and then little icon is gonna pop up and then you can click it to react or you can use stickers as well, if you prefer that. And then if you're on the right side, you would have to look for your frame on the right of the comments for the overall comment section. And if you're on the left, left side. Okay, I guess most people were done. If you're not, please wrap it up, put something up, at least a few keywords. And now what we're going to do is we're going to do some sort of like an affinity diagram where we come up with as many sticky notes as possible, mostly keywords rather than sentences. So if you can only think about sentences, you can break that into a few words as well. And now we're going to come up with conclusions, sticky notes. But let me show you how that works because I've changed the format a little bit. So it's going to be new mirror board, not the one that we just used. It's going to be the final board of the day. That's pretty colorful. And again, there's group spaces. So you're going to use your group space and you're going to collaborate with your groupmates. So we're going to be in group breakout rooms again. And the first part is about me, myself. Second one is about the tool. And the third one is about us as a group. So first one, what was your key strategy to make the AI understand your mood or your emotion? So you might have tweaked the prompt a little bit or you wanted to highlight certain parts. Or you think, oh, the fact that I used this word was really powerful. Anything. Feel free to add more sticky notes. The color doesn't matter except for part two or three. Because for part two, we're going to use greenish paper for what AI did well. Could be, I don't know, it expressed this well, it did this well, it made that well, but it messed up because of that, or they didn't, they're not good at doing this and that. For us part, why did others feel different emotions? What was the biggest confusion? Or if for your song or for your guesses, you were always right and everyone got the same emotion for your song? Great, then let's talk about what made us so successful on the great note. So feel free to add more sticky notes by clicking here. And then after you guys are done with all those parts, you're going to come up with one conclusion note. That includes a few sentences, probably two or three or even one is fine. That sums up whatever you guys came up with here. But first, finish all those three parts by coming up with as many sticky notes as possible. And then come up with conclusion notes as well. So we're going to first spend five minutes on filling out those sticky notes. Step by step, first one, second one, third one, and then another five minutes to come up with a conclusion. And since we're going to let you guys discuss, feel free to speak up at least just like one word input. And Ali and I are just there just to facilitate and help. So I want your thoughts and your ideas. But yeah, so see you guys in breakout rooms. Oh, you guys are already starting. Bye. Bye. This is group three. So group three, let's start with number one. What was your key strategy to make the AI understand your emotion? And try to come up with keywords mostly. And yeah, as many sticky notes as possible. I'll also try to come up with keywords instead of sentences. It's okay if you can only think of sentences, maybe another person can break it up. Or yeah, anyone wanna share about what was your key strategy? And then maybe you guys can discuss here. I'm gonna leave it to you guys. And whoever wants to, Speak up, please. When you think it's set, please transition into second one. Okay, I'm going to leave it up to you guys. You guys can discuss and then transition into tool number two and number three and also come up with a conclusion note. Oh, I love how you guys are coming up with a lot of sticky notes. Yay. Yeah, once you guys are done, we can transition into the third part. Feel free to add more sticky notes. And also we have to come up with the conclusion notes. - Hi, group three again. So we need the conclusion notes on the right. You can discuss it among you guys, or if you guys are too shy, some of you guys can just take a look at whatever was put up and then write down the conclusion, like an overview. I think we have like a minute and a half left. oh nice okay Okay, let's try to process it. We also need it for the last sticky note. About what- why did others feel differently? You know what happened? Nice! Oh, you guys were quick! Okay, 10 seconds. See you guys in the whole room. Hello, hello. Let me just bring my other self back. Okay. I guess everyone's back now. And let me share the screen once again. All right. So thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts. It was really interesting to see the comments and your sticky notes. And now it's time to share 'cause we have a lot of great insights and we had chances to exchange songs and ideas. So let's hear from Each team about, probably you can just use your conclusion notes to conclude. Oh, if you haven't done it yet, I'll give group one little bit of time to work on it. You can just go ahead and wrap it up and like sum up your ideas. I saw group two finishing up early. So I'll go with group two first. So group, anyone from group two, if you could, Yeah, share your thoughts.

5
Speaker 544:28

I can share our thoughts what we did. So our first one, like our conclusion was the key strategy we found was that using like straight to the word points, like keywords using those really helped the most. And that's what it focused on the most. And then for... like going well we think that it like did a good job of creating the beat to your liking but it wasn't like all of us kind of agreed that we wouldn't really listen to that music on our own um because it kind of all had like the same tone in a way or something and then and um it like i said it like kind of like blends together keywords so like it all like kind of like we were kind of wondering how we could make it go to different but they all like all the ones we created were kind of vague and making it hard to interpret what i was

1
Speaker 145:26

trying to get at i see thank you um i had some chances to talk to group two as well it was really interesting how they um pointed out it all sounded similar but overall had good good qualities um yeah but it's interesting because it's not even that all of you guys use the same tool at least there are like at least two tools used but still it's kind of sounded the same so great analysis So while we give team one more time and let's go to group three. Anyone from group three want to share your thoughts?

6
Speaker 646:10

I think the main key strategies that we used was being specific, especially with the genre of music that we were aiming to convey. And then we thought that the AI did better. well with like conveying like surface level um emotions that i guess would be like a little easier for like an ai to like understand like for example like happiness um or like sadness but it also struggled at times with like having more um like multiple emotions especially when like some of the emotions were like more subtle, like, for example, like, longing, or, like, it could be less up to, like, interpretation. Um, and then I think that, like, um, one of the biggest confusions overall in our group was that, like, it was, um, the AI could have been, like, limited with, like, how it interprets, like, the prompts, um, and, like,

1
Speaker 147:17

how diverse of like music it can create oh thank you for sharing so i guess the third point was really similar to group two and the second point about how it can't really interpret subtle emotion i haven't thought about that that's a really great point so i'll i need to think about that thank you for sharing so let's go back to team one um if you're not ready just you can share whatever you've got but oh you already filled it in nice that's quick okay um anyone from team one want to share

7
Speaker 747:52

i can do the first one mm-hmm For like key strategy, we said use a lot of like the keyword theme and theme words. Like for example, like happy or upbeat or things like that. And also like trying to use as many details as you can, like setting and everything. And as well as like just generating as many times as you can.

1
Speaker 148:20

Oh, nice. Do you remember how many times you tried it? I did it twice. Twice. I see. Thank you. All right. Anyone want to share two and three?

8
Speaker 848:33

Yeah, I can do the next one. So I think our group, we figured out that we use two different platforms. So I believe... me as well as somebody else used udo um and then there was another one i forget exactly what platform it was maybe someone can the music oh yeah no it was that one um and so the that one was like pretty good at keeping the mood and like keeping the overall vibe of the song but I believe they said that both of their songs didn't um have any lyrics really even when a prompt was given um so they were just kind of left with this instrumental piece but it did capture the mood like really well and then for the yudio one um i used that one as well and it like i told it to have a powerful song to it and it took it in a totally different direction and like some people even said that it sounded like calm or like spooky and so i thought that was interesting but it did keep like location of my prompt really well And I thought that the overall like song and lyrics were good, just like not the vibe I was really looking for. And then the last conclusion I wrote, basically the same thing with the mood and the lyrics. But yeah. I specifically did say that I think with the mood, someone wanted theirs to sound a little bit more happy or upbeat. And I definitely wanted mine to be more powerful. So I think those are the two maybe like faults between like those two platforms at least.

1
Speaker 150:27

Yeah. Oh, great points. I also really wanted to ask, there were three given... but only Muber and Udeo was used throughout every group. Why did you guys not use my sound full? I was just curious. Any reasons?

8
Speaker 850:42

I specifically used Udeo because I remember it being my favorite one from when we explored all of them. I remember my sound full. It didn't have as good, I guess, as variety. And I... I thought that the different moods of the songs were very compartmentalized. And then for the Mubert one, I think that one's totally fine, but it just kept on saying Mubert in this rich accent. And I didn't really think that that tag was always going to really work with the genre of music I was going for. So I decided to use it.

5
Speaker 551:23

yeah i also found a really hilarious how it's the same paper for mine i tried to log into the mindset my soundful and it just wouldn't work so i just logged into the other i don't know if

1
Speaker 151:37

that's the same experience for everyone else but i see oh thank you for sharing um can can others also share like why they didn't use my sample anyone else like specifically tried it but didn't use it

7
Speaker 751:49

I tried to use my soundful like a creative account, but I couldn't find like where you would put in the prompts. So I just started to do it on Mover. I see. It doesn't really have a good user interfaces.

1
Speaker 152:01

Great point. Thank you. It was really interesting to see all of your thoughts. And I am gaining a lot of insights as well. So thank you everyone for sharing a lot. And if you have more thoughts that you want to share, feel free to share it through the journal as well. You can say more than what you want. And next time we're going to actually make a rule book, which might really contribute to the future services that are going to be made. I'm actually getting mentoring by someone in Adobe. And I talked about this project and he was pretty interested in it as well. we can who knows like it might really be considered in the future when they develop such tool so yeah it's pretty much the most important part so i'm looking forward to it and i'll try to make it fun and not just writing down the rules and in the journal i've added this question is there any particular emotion or story you think ai has a hard time capturing you can talk about specific story or you can just talk about broadly like this kind of story or emotion and yeah or you can also leave more thoughts about anything. and yeah this is like yeah group announcement and I'll hand it over to Allie

9
Speaker 953:14

thanks Danny this one was really fun in my opinion it was so cool to hear all the different songs kind of sad my group only had four people because I'd love to hear more but hopefully you guys enjoyed that activity and again next session we'll also have Danny join us and we'll actually see start thinking about what a tool could look like. I do have a couple of little reminders or not really reminders but if you guys saw the email sent out yesterday from Jonathan there are a couple links that you put in there. The first one is a survey that my the non-profit I work at we are collecting responses for. It's basically for our summer program called the Digital Civics Academy and we want to hear your guys's thoughts on speakers that you want to see and so if you fill that out it takes like five minutes and It could be they could be a speaker at our program and also you'd be entered into a raffle for a little prize. And that program is also open to you guys, but more details later. And then the second link that you put in there is for a teen-led mental health summit that I think the previous YAD members are part of. But I actually will be at that conference as well. So if you guys want to meet me in person, it's a really cool opportunity. It's in Brenton, so it's a little bit, I think it's pretty close to most of you guys. It's on a Saturday in March, and I believe it's like $5 for student tickets. So come, it's gonna be really fun. I know they have a lot of like, um Washington state like lawmakers that are gonna be there and like students and all of that there's gonna be like speaker sessions and workshops so highly highly recommend and I'll put the links in the chat but once you guys fill out one question in your research journal you guys can leave and we'll see you in two weeks And of course, let us know if you have any questions.

3
Speaker 355:29

*sniff* Thank you.

1
Speaker 156:55

Thank you. have a good day you too thank you thank you so much Ali you're the best that was

9
Speaker 91:01:18

really that was that was really fun like we were going through the songs in the first one was just like really spooky and then like each one of them was like it was just so interesting to like see like their reactions to it too.

1
Speaker 11:01:35

I guess they're actually playing the song and they're seeing their reaction was great. Yeah. Yay. I'll try to make next part fun as well. I think I'm going to let them use the tool once again, but Suno currently is the most famous one and I've been kind of limiting that. So next time I'm going to let them use that one. Oh, okay. Yeah. And then actually create a rule book based on that because so far people say it's the best tool that exists. So once they try it, I think they might have different thoughts. yeah yeah okay that sounds good okay i'll try to finalize it um probably within this week or early next week sounds good okay thank you hopefully you can have some time for dinner oh okay it's

3
Speaker 31:02:23

popping i don't know what's happening yeah

9
Speaker 91:02:27

Oh, like some circles. Okay, I'll talk to you later. Oh, I did send the folder for the recordings in the Slack. Okay, thank you. Okay, bye.

1
Speaker 11:02:40

Have a good night. Bye. Good night. You too.
